Tasting the Apple

What readers are saying...

This dynamic second novel in the Bootleggers’ Chronicles series steps ever closer to the dangers and mysteries lurking in 1920s Philadelphia.

Decter interweaves this historical period (Prohibition) through the lives of her characters.  We see Maggie still struggling to make ends meet.  Decter also paints a beautiful picture of  the friendship between Maggie and the wife of one of the arch antagonists that she’s helping to trap and put behind bars. Finally, you will meet again, Inspector Frank Geyer. Maggie’s special friend and partner.

Congratulations, Ms. Decter, I am truly enjoying your series. Read more…

Sherilyn has also added some spice of forbidden love in the mix and I enjoyed that little shake up. Forbidden love and some potentially  new love. I won’t tell you who experiences what. You’ll have to read to find out. Read more…
